Medical clinic on Kivunza landing site

This Mission Trip was majorly accomplished by the Oklahoma Baptist University (OBU) team led by Monica Mullins aided by a native team of medical Students from the International Health Sciences University and Makerere university.
Several people played a significant role in the accomplishment of this Mission trip too numerous to Mention in this brief note but to whom we owe gratitude for their positive impact.
The following People however deserve a mention in respect of there magnificent work towards the clinic;
The OBU team who gathered majority of the necessary drugs and equipments prior to there coming and yet financially supported purchase of other drugs for instance anti malarial and antibiotics which we used to treat our vulnerable groups as well as partly facilitating transportation of the Local team.
Witness kicks donated several pairs of Shoes which we availed to children that make kivunza landing site there home and this would aid preventing parasitic infections associated with direct contact with polluted soils as it is the case with kivunza landing site, for distance jiggers thus there work will always be remembered.

Ellen, Brett and Megan the Feringas including Haley Durchslag donated towards the animal project although the animals were not purchased on this very trip but funds stand still designated as wished by their donors.

Our trip was accompanied by several challenges majorly to the surprise of our American Visitors but with Joy we can say, never once did God leave us alone, for every Step, be it along the journey or during the Medical Clinic he was with us.
we treated several of illness and the Medical clinic was yet a time of sharing about God thus consequently leading one of the Natives of Kivunza to Christ.
Understanding that the pictures below cannot Justify the real experience, we hope that they can crystallize a glimpse of our accomplishment to you;

 Not only did we treat diseases but we also did some singing.
This was a surprise as we were made aware that we had to sing about 5 minutes before the actual time, so we had to figure out a song to sing and be ready.
It was a wonderful experience, i belive more so to the OBU team.
TIA- This is Africa.
 We made friends through our Private conversations with our vulnerable groups.
left is lily explaining privately a prescription and how the drugs were supposed to be used on addition to making friendship.
 Franklin aided by Emma Beck examining the patient to prescribe appropriate drugs.
 Andrew from Makerere University and Kailey from Oklahoma Baptist University made good pediatricians.
 We had a constan pateint load from 10am to 3pm when we ended our Medical Clinic.
 OBU team availed us with Evange Cubes which we used to teach Kids and asking them questions at the end of it all and whoever answered qualified to get a pair of Shoes which were donated by witness kicks as you may see on the left.
 We are grateful for the 35 pairs of shoes which i am satisfied we made good use of and i am certain they will be much of help to reduce of foot parasitic infections, more so jiggers.
 When we passed through the waters, God was with us. Even when our motor stopped on several occasions, it could not inhibit our smiles because our God is greater.
left is Mary, Kate, Feven, George and I as we got stranded in the middle of the lake when our boat motor quit working.
 The beuty of Kivunza landing site is so consuming, it takes a brave person to take a trip there to be a self witness because the pictures herein cannot fully justify it.
we were blessed to have a refreshing time after the clinic to hike and witnessed this.
 We were blessed to have lots of specialized labor to accomplish our patient load.
it must be noted that this Mission Trip on 17 people has been the largest number of people in the History of Hope for the Needy.
We are grateful for all the members who denied themselves to go serve God.
we owe gratitude to pastor Mathew of kivunza Baptist church for his continuous hospitality to accommodate and feed us through out our froth coming Mission Trips.
